FW6A-EL - The 6-speed East-West gearbox was developed by Aisin Warner for Mazda. It was installed in the CX-5, Mazda 3 and Mazda 6 models with the 2.0L engine. It is similar in design to the U660E gearbox and is considered the main competitor of the 6HP19/6HP21 gearbox. This automatic gearbox is equipped with a Lock'UP double clutch, which improves parameters such as acceleration and efficiency. Frequent use of the "Kick-down" function can lead to failure. The FW6A-EL uses Aisin Warner linear solenoids with an anodized manifold built into the valve body.
