5HP19 - 5-speed gearbox introduced to the market in 1995. It is considered one of the most popular boxes repaired in workshops. This prevalence is not due to poor quality, but because it is very efficient and was installed in durable cars.  Its popularity continued despite the release of its 6-speed successor, the 6HPXX. 5HP19 was installed in Audi with FWD and AWD drive. Designed based on 4HP18 and 5HP18 boxes - therefore most of the components are almost identical. The main feature that distinguishes the 5HP19 from previous transmissions is higher torque and the ability to work with larger capacity engines. The FL modification was dedicated to Audi-Volkswagen with FWD drive, FLA for cars with AWD drive and V6 engines, while 5HP19 was used in BMW with RWD drive.

5HP19FL, 01V - modification used in Audi, Volkswagen and Porsche (Boxter 986) cars with FWD drive. Throughout 16 years of production, most of the elements of this box have remained unchanged. 01V has an integrated front axle transmission.

5HP19FLA - modification installed in Audi and Volkswagen with AWD and mechanical V6 drive.

5HP19HL, 5HP19HLA - this modification was intended for the Porsche 911 Carrera (966).
