F4A-EL / 4EAT-F

F4A-EL - The 4-speed gearbox appeared on the market in 1989 in cooperation between Mazda and Jatco. Kia used the name 4EAT-F/F4E-AT for this gearbox. It was installed in Mazda (323) and Ford (Escort) cars with engines up to 1.6 l. It was intended to replace the 3-speed F3A, and in terms of design is similar to the 4EAT-G gearbox.
