42RLE

42RLE - The 4-speed gearbox was introduced in 2003 and was designed at the same time as the 42LE (FWD). Installed in powerful Chrysler 300 series, Liberty Jeep, Cherokee (V6 and V8) cars with RWD drive and in Dodge pickups with engines from 2.7L to 4.0L. Structurally, it is very similar to the A606 (42LE) transmission - it is simpler in design: it does not have a differential, chain and several other front drive components.
