E4OD / 4R100

E4OD - The 4-speed gearbox came onto the market in 1989 and was fitted to light and heavy 4WD vehicles with engines up to 5.0 l. It had 4 forward gears and electronic gear shift control, replacing the hydraulic variant known from the C6 gearbox.

4R100 - The E4OD gearbox modification appeared on the market in 1996. It was installed in cars with rear-wheel drive and engines above 5.0 l. It is considered a very solid, efficient and structurally simple gearbox. The 4R100 became the design basis for the 5R110W.
