66RFE - The 6-speed gearbox is structurally very similar to the 5-45RFE and 68RFE gearboxes and differs only in some operational parameters. It was installed in Dodge cars (2500 and 3500 with gas engines). Differences between the 66RFE and 5-45RFE include the extension housing and output shaft. The common elements of both gearboxes are: converter, pump, overdrive, forward and reverse clutch and controller. The 66RFE also includes components from the 68RFE gearbox, such as low/reverse clutches, planetary gear and 2C clutch.
