TR-80SD - A new generation of 8-speed gearbox released in 2006 for the VAG group (Volkswagen-Audi) and intended for RWD vehicles. It is an alternative to DSG, which has problems with proper operation with powerful engines. Installed in Audi Q7 V6-V8 with 3.0L engine and torque exceeding 700 Nm. Since 2007, the AA80E/F gearbox of the same design has been installed in Lexus off-road vehicles. At the end of 2010, it fully entered the foreign market, replacing the TR-60SN in the Porsche Cayenne (2010-2014) and Volkswagen Touareg (2010-2014) TDI with engines from 3.0L to 3.6L (Audi - TFSI). Also used in the Cadillac CTS VSport in 2014 as the TL-80SD. It is a competitor to the 8-speed ZF 8HP70 gearbox. 0C8 uses successful elements from the TR-60SN, but has a heavily modified controller and electrics. Most parts are not interchangeable. TR-80SD is the most powerful of today's RWD automatic transmissions, achieving a torque of 800 Nm.
