C4 / C5

C4 - A 3-speed gearbox introduced by Ford in 1964 and produced until 1982. It was installed in Ford cars (Bronco 1974-1982, Cortina 1974-1982, series F 1965-1983, Fairlane 1964-1970, Fairmont 1978-1983, Falcon 1965-1982, Granada 1975-1982, LTD 1975-1980, Maverick 1970-1977, Mustang 1965-1981, Ranchero 1965-1979, Thunderbird 1968-1981, Torino 1968-1976), Lincoln (Warsal 1977-1980) and Mercury (Bobcat 1974-1980, Capri 1972-1981, Comet 1964-1977, Cougar 1967-1981, Monarch 1975-1980, Montego 1968-1976 i Zephyr 1978-1981).

C4

C5 - a modification of the C4 gearbox appeared on the market in 1982 and was withdrawn in 1986. These were medium-duty gearboxes. They used Lock'Up clutches to improve fuel economy on the motorways. It was installed in Ford cars (Aerostar 1986, Ranger 1983-1986, Bronco II 1983-1985, LTD 1982-1986, Thunderbird 1982-1986), Mercury (Capri 1982-1986, Cougar 1982-1986, Marquis 1983-1986 i Zefir 1983.
