C6 - The 3-speed gearbox appeared on the market in 1966 and was installed in Ford trucks until 1996. It was the first automatic transmission with a BorgWarner flexible shift belt, which improved shift quality and increased durability. It had clutch plates instead of belts in "Low" and reverse gear. It also had new composite plates and valves. It could reach 644 Nm of torque.
