A518, 46RH, 46RE - In 1990, a 4-speed automatic transmission was introduced. Installed in Dodge and Jeep cars with RWD drive and engines with a capacity of approximately 6.0L. The basis of this gearbox was the A500 gearbox. The designations "RE" and "RH", which were introduced in the A518 update, stand for "Electronic Retainer" and "Hydraulic Retainer", respectively.

A618, 47RH, 47RE, 48RE - 4-speed gearboxes from the "TorqueFlite" family have been installed since 1990, mainly in Dodge and Jeep trucks and delivery vehicles. These were cars with RWD drive and engine capacity up to 8.0L. The designations "RE" and "RH" have the same meaning as in the A518 gearbox modifications. The A618 is considered a heavier gearbox. It can reach a torque of 610 Nm.
